Biography

Now living in North East England, Chuck plays with various country dance bands. He teaches “Fiddle” and Mandolin privately from home covering a broad range of styles, with all ages of pupils. In the last few years he has played festivals and clubs in England with the mighty singer and melodeon player Benny Graham. He provides the musical accompaniment for country dancing in schools’ workshops in association with caller Burt Hunter.

In the recent past he has been engaged by the Folkworks organisation at the Caedmon Hall Gateshead and The Sage Gateshead as a workshop leader mainly in Fiddle tuition and as a Band workshop leader. Last year, 2006, he presented his “Travelling Fiddle” workshop to foreign students at Newcastle University Summer School and at Auchencruive College, Paisley University for The Common Ground organisation.

Chuck is presently collecting and composing music for a solo CD. To be recorded in May 2007.
